11 cities in the world where food is most expensive
As it turned out, the amount spent on food in the supermarket very much depends on where you are buying. And here it is important not only in which country you live, but also in which city. Food prices can vary significantly within the same state, but in different cities!
Swiss bank UBS rated the average European food basket based on the most widely used products, such as bread, milk and chicken, and compiled a rating of the most expensive cities in the world with respect to nutrition.
In addition, UBS has taken into account local food consumption patterns. Such, for example, as tea preferences instead of coffee in Russia or low demand for pork in some regions. Thus, the bank managed to make a very objective rating.
