National Geographic announces winners of its 2018 photo contest
The winners of the legendary National Geographic Photo Contest were selected from 10 thousand applications. These impressive works tell both about the beauty of living things, and about the destruction that they can cause. The pictures were divided into three categories - “Places”, “Wildlife” and “People”. The main prize received a ghostly frame called "Unreal".
This photo, taken by flight instructor and professional violinist Yassen Todorov, is an aerial view of a vehicle cemetery located in the middle of the Mojave Desert in California. Thousands of Audi and Volkswagen vehicles recalled from production have been lined up and virtually left to nature. This happened after it was discovered that the emission test results of some models were falsified.
Let's look at this enchanting shot and the work of other winners.
